Absolutely not worth $700 – avoid this hotel Our experience was unacceptable from the start. In the first room, there were questionable white stains on the pillow — unhygienic and off-putting. Then I went to brush my teeth and found the sink completely clogged. A staff member offered to use a strong product to fix it, but I have asthma, so I told her it wasn’t worth the risk and asked to change rooms. For $700 over two nights, this hotel is nowhere near four-star quality. One front desk staff member was unprofessional and dismissive — not trained in customer service at all. A Spanish staff member tried her best to help, but it was clear the issues were beyond her role. We paid $40 per person, per day for breakfast — not worth it. You can only choose one item, and the food comes cold because the kitchen is offsite. Even bar staff seemed exhausted and underpaid. Housekeeping left used day products inside the bed after cleaning, and didn’t even take away dirty glasses. I rarely leave reviews, but I don’t want anyone else wasting money on this place. In this economy, charging that much for such poor service is disgraceful. There are far better hotels in the area — save your money
I was there as part of a small conference. The staff were exceptional. Very friendly, warm and attentive. The conference room was lovely and the food was excellent. I don't stay in hotels much and I thought the room facilities very clean and perfect for a two night stay. The location was great: after sitting all day is was close enough for a decent walk along the river.
What a little gem. Fantastic little Cafe for breakfast and lunch. Room we stayed in was a little small, but extremely clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff were amazing and very helpful. We would stay here again. Thank you for an awesome stay.
I was pleasantly surprised! Front desk service was so cheerful and friendly and my room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Limited facilities but there’s a cute cafe in the lobby and it’s walkable to the main dining streets of the valley. Shops and train station nearby which makes it easy to get to the airport by train or use the 50c fares to the rest of the city. The Valley does have problems with drug affected people but I didn’t have any problems.
Avoid this hotel if possible. It is poorly maintained and the cleaning and maintenance is very suspect. The outdoor lift that joins the older historic part of the hotel to the newer part is quite obviously lacking in maintenance, rusted and making loud clunking noises as it operates. Worse than this, the pillows, sheets and chair in the room I stayed in all had weird stains on them, and within a day of checking out of this hotel I had the worst case of pinkeye/conjunctivitis I've had in my lifetime. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else, there are plenty of similarly priced options out there..
