Reviews for Kennigo Hotel Brisbane

Convenient location to walk to entertainment precinct and explore downtown Brisbane. I didn't need an accessible room this time but I was happy to have one and found the bathroom facilities very well set up for a wheelchair user. Good to know for future travels with my companion who does use a wheelchair. Can report that the twin bed set up however doesn't leave much room for a chair to maneuver. The switches and glassware are within seated reach. Recommend bringing a grippy/non-slip floor mat for safety in the shower. I didn't spend much time in the room this trip, the bedroom was small but the bathroom was large, no view to speak of but clean, modern and bed was comfortable.

I checked in at 11pm at night. It was a nightmare, 2 staff were on and they fought over who had to check me in, in front of me 😵 It took forever and then the guy that did it had no idea what he was doing. The room was tiny, the bathroom doesn't have the basic amenities other hotels have. It is not sound proof, so on level 3 I listened to the road the entire time and then as soon as there was sunlight it was straight in my room, the black out curtains, were not blackout. The kettle was disgusting (see picture) you can make people sick with that!! So lucky I saw before filling it! Then when I checked out, the lady checking me out had to leave me at the reception to physically go and check my room before I could go. I told her about the disaster check in, she just said sorry, but did not escalate or offer anything as an apology. She was much better than the night check in staff. I was here for less than 9 hours, luckily, I would never come back.

Absolutely perfect for a one night stay! Super comfortable rooms and beds. The only problem I had was realising there was no conditioner in the dispenser mid-shower so had to get out half way through to call for more!

I stayed the night at the Kennigo recently after a flight cancellation. The hotel was fine and the staff super helpful but the hotel only had a very small room service menu. There was not one thing on the menu that was gluten free so this celiac went hungry.

The room is comfortable, AC works pretty good, big TV. The pillows were smelling bad though, we couldn’t sleep with them. Also we had a very unpleasant experience with the employee Maddie. She was excessively rude while telling us that we were late for checkout (because my friend wasn’t feeling good), but we had already spoken to the housekeeping and she didn’t know. When I tried to tell her that, she kept being rude. - It’s not our fault that they didn’t speak with each other. After I asked for her name to write a complaint, she was rude and very ironic on her answer. Can’t believe someone like this works with the public. Overall, hotel not worth the price for this terrible service and stinky bed linen.
