Had an incredible dining experience at Eureka 89! We went for the Signature 8-Course Tasting Menu and every single dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious from the first bite of the starter all the way through to dessert. The balance of flavours and creativity in each course made it a memorable evening. The service was just as impressive as the food. The waitresses, Ashley and Ciara, were warm, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the night. Their professionalism and friendliness really elevated the whole experience. Between the amazing food, outstanding service, and stunning views over Melbourne, Eureka 89 is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for a fine dining experience to remember.
Fascinating views, great food, and quiet atmosphere. If you are looking for a luxurious lunch or dinner for a special occasion or to treat your magnificent other, this place is recommended. Bookings are required. Service is excellent. Suggestion for improvement: I have been asked so many times what is the purpose of my booking, 1.when booking, 2. Through a link a day before check in 3. When checking in 4. When arrived at restaurant 4. By our host. I expected that everyone should be on top of my booking details, otherwise, what is the purpose of the whole booking and check-in process?
Would come back for the view not the menu… I recently dined at Eureka 89, taking my partner there to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, we both left feeling a bit underwhelmed. We chose the 6-course Chef’s tasting menu with wine pairing. While the food was well-prepared and flavorful, I felt that, for the price, there are better dining experiences available in Melbourne — some even at a lower cost. The atmosphere was pleasant overall, though our experience was somewhat diminished by a nearby couple using a ring light to take selfies throughout the evening. While this isn’t the restaurant’s fault, it did detract from the ambiance. The wait staff were attentive and hospitable, which we appreciated. However, I found it a little disjointed that, even though we indicated during the booking that we were celebrating a special occasion, the staff still asked again upon seating. For a premium dining experience, I would expect such details to be communicated seamlessly to the team. Portion sizes were quite small, and even after six courses, we both left still feeling hungry. While the complimentary access to the Skydeck was a nice added touch, overall, I believe there are better value options for fine dining in Melbourne. I’d suggest considering alternatives that offer a more satisfying experience at a similar or lower price.
Majestic views from top of Eureka tower. An upscale fine dining experience. Service was great and friendly. We got a table with great views and we chose a time so that we could see sunset. Food was also amazing. You can also go upstairs to the skydeck without paying extra. Highly recommended.
The taste was average. I hadn’t expected much after reading the reviews, so it turned out better than I thought. The view was stunning—perfect for a special occasion. However, we came to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had informed the restaurant in advance, but they did nothing to acknowledge it. That was disappointing. I expected at least a small gesture, as you would find at most fine dining restaurants. I felt the level of hospitality didn’t quite match what you’d expect from a fine dining experience, and I hope they improve in that regard.
