Room service needs improvement: 1) I placed an order an hour in advance, but it arrived 20 minutes late, and I had to follow up for updates. 2) The website advertises breakfast room service starting at 6am, but when I called at 6am to order Bircher muesli and coffee, I was informed it would take 45 minutes – quite misleading. On a positive note, check-in and check-out were seamless and efficient.

We received a separate, random charge for use of the minibar, which we didn’t use. We had purchased a bottle of wine from the Ivy instead. Despite calling several times, we received no answer or explanation for why this charge was added when nothing was taken from the minibar. The overall service was disappointingly poor. Additionally, the bathroom was outdated and had an unpleasant smell. For the price, I’d recommend avoiding this place and choosing somewhere better.

Booked this trip for a birthday celebration and will not return again. Paid for a bottle of Prosecco to be in the room on arrival and when we arrived there was no bottle opener. Rang reception and kindly asked would they be able to help and bring up a bottle opener and I was rudely told no that I needed to go to the bar if I wanted it opened. After being a hefty amount for the Prosecco I found this to be very rude. Very poor service for a 5 star hotel, from the staff. More like 2/3 star service.

We got just a basic room this stay which was still a great size, especially the bathroom. Brilliant location for the northern end of the city to walk or use public transport. Little disappointed that complimentary bottles of water aren't provided any more. $6 from the mini bar!

Nice, spacious, clean rooms. Beds were not the comfiest 4/5. Most service was exceptional. We did find reception not to be knowledgeable or very welcoming. Towels and robes tattered. Expensive parking.
