Spacious and clean room. Even in the 10th floor could grease the street sounds of early morning as trucks went about their jobs. Spacious bathroom with a nice shower cubicle. The shower head and water flow were average. There was light pooling of water on the floor, but it drained quickly and didn’t overflow in into the rest of the bathroom, which was a HUGE win!! No complimentary water. The white labelled water bottle in the mini bar was priced at $6 for ~300ml and got promptly put back. Conveniently located in the CBD - ideal for weary travellers. But it also means that there are no spectacular Sydney skyline views of the Opera House, Darling Harbour, or the city skyline… at least from our room. We didn’t try the swimming pool or the restaurants. But discounted 24hr car parking with unlimited entry/exit was great value at approximately $40. Functional business lobby that was not overly noisy or crowded.
I expected a true 5-star experience, but it didn’t meet my expectations. The room had old furniture and the bathroom lacked basic 5-star amenities like body lotion or a toothbrush. Even the coffee cups weren’t replaced after cleaning. The staff were polite, but the service must be improved. Definitely not up to 5-star standards.
My partner and I stayed at the Amora Hotel Sydney for our anniversary and had an amazing experience! Our room on the top floor (Room 3015) was absolutely divine — spacious, comfortable, and with a beautiful view. We really enjoyed the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi — everything you need for a quick and relaxing getaway. Honestly, one night wasn’t enough! 😁 The breakfast was outstanding — especially the Eggs Benedict, the best I’ve ever had in Sydney. A huge thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and accommodating. You all made our stay even more special. I’m already looking forward to our next staycation! 😄
Be ware of the car park. It is not easy to navigate down. Very tight turns and easy to damage vehicle. We have stayed here twice. The rooms have been clean. But it is starting to date and maintenance needs to be completed on the premises. Staff were friendly. The location is the best thing about the hotel. Had a spa service. The room was cold and ac blowing straight on me. I had a hot stone massage, however, the masseuse ran the hot stones under cold water prior to using them on me. It was not pleasant to have cold dripping stones used on my back.
The hotel room was absolutely amazing, very soft beds and pillows, very well looked after with an amazing view into the city. The spa facilities were amazing, including the pool. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of variety, along with lunch. Good hotel location with the tram a small walk away. All staff members were absolutely lovely thank you for making my birthday memorable❤️
