Reviews for Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney

We stayed at the Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney twice — at the beginning and end of our Australia trip — and both experiences were excellent. We were on the 7th floor both times (different rooms), and both were very quiet. We slept really well; the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious and clean. The location is fantastic, just a 10 to 15 minute walk to Circular Quay and the Opera House area. The only minor downside is that the MetCentre shopping mall next door (which includes Woolworths and several shops and restaurants) is closed on weekends and holidays. We happened to stay mostly over a weekend and on Labor Day Monday. Many of the businesses in this area were closed on the weekend. With the MetCentre closed, we also couldn’t access Wynyard Station directly through it, which meant walking around the block — not a big deal, but worth noting. Service was great. The staff even let us stow away a small bag after our first stay, which we were able to pick up on our return. That was incredibly helpful and saved us from carrying it around during our travels around Australia. Overall, the hotel itself was wonderful — clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-run. We’d definitely stay here again!

Spacious and clean room. Even in the 10th floor could grease the street sounds of early morning as trucks went about their jobs. Spacious bathroom with a nice shower cubicle. The shower head and water flow were average. There was light pooling of water on the floor, but it drained quickly and didn’t overflow in into the rest of the bathroom, which was a HUGE win!! No complimentary water. The white labelled water bottle in the mini bar was priced at $6 for ~300ml and got promptly put back. Conveniently located in the CBD - ideal for weary travellers. But it also means that there are no spectacular Sydney skyline views of the Opera House, Darling Harbour, or the city skyline… at least from our room. We didn’t try the swimming pool or the restaurants. But discounted 24hr car parking with unlimited entry/exit was great value at approximately $40. Functional business lobby that was not overly noisy or crowded.

Stayed in the hotel and everything was great, buffet breakfast was fantastic and service in the restaurant was great. Just don't forget anything of value in the room when checking out, I accidentally left my make up case in the cupboard in our room and when I called about coming to pick it up I was informed that nothing was left in the room so obviously housekeeping found it and kept it as it was pretty expensive good quality make up. If it wasn't for that I would have given 5 stars.

Had such a beautiful birthday weekend away at the Amora Hotel with my best friend, Siena Franke. The staff were absolutely amazing, so polite, and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. We were greeted immediately and given a free room upgrade, which really made the trip special. We also received a complimentary bottle of red for my birthday, the hospitality was like no other. They really tailored to us and were helpful with our requests. If you’re looking for somewhere with all the facilities, this is the place! The pool and spa were so beautiful and kept clean. You can really tell they look after this place and their patrons. The room service was reasonably priced and delicious, which was a bonus! Cannot thank them enough for this special experience, forever grateful and will definitely be back!

Spacious but dated rooms. Nice (renovated) Bathroom, although could have been cleaner (odd red splatters on shower wall which came off if you threw water at them) I was on level 6 and my view was of a rather horrible roof too next door. It look like views from higher levels are good though. Slight confusion when I checked in around payment methods due to average English language skills and/or lack of understanding of how this worked by the desk member I dealt with. I didn’t swim but indoor lap pool looked nice.
