There are a few steps involved in booking an event at The Rawson and the VenueNow team are here to do the heavy lifting for you. Firstly, contact the VenueNow team by submitting an enquiry or speaking to one of our team members online or over the phone. We'll need to collect a few details from you, such as your: - Event type - Number of people attending - Preferred event date & time (and if this is flexible) - Budget (per person or total) - Room layout - Food and beverage / catering requirements - Any other requirements Once we've gathered these details, the VenueNow team will contact the team at The Rawson to check: 1) Can they host the event on your preferred date / time? If not, what are some alternate dates / times? 2) What is the estimated cost based on your event requirements? This process tends to take around 1 business day on average to receive a response from the venue. Once we've received a response, the VenueNow team will contact you as soon as possible. If you're happy with the proposed price and dates / times, the VenueNow team will connect you with The Rawson to finalise your booking (which may include a site visit if you choose to do so). VenueNow provides this service free of charge to you as we are paid a small fee by The Rawson if you book via us.

With entry through The Rawson Room or directly via Bethel Stairs, the beautifully restored Chapel maintains the cathedral ceiling and some of the original stain-glass windows, this room is exceptional day or night. 

The interior has been tastefully finished with a wall long banquette seating, and features a golden lit onyx table. The perfect space to hold unique corporate or private cocktail parties of up to 60 guests, VIP dinners, and boardroom meetings for 18 guests, Murder Mysteries, Wine Tastings, presentations, think tank, or workshop days. 1.4m LCD screen and PA/PC audio system, natural light, mobile bar and close to the smoking balcony.

Mirar Bar on the top level of the Rawson is suitable for Functions of 100-190 guests.

With a Main Bar with floorboards & DJ facilities, plus two large carpeted breakout rooms with lounges. This space is perfect for a private party & can accommodate a DJ.

Located on the George St level, with a maximum capacity 300 guests, grand Bar can also be joined with the adjoining Chapel.

Perfect for stand up style day time or evening Events including product launches, cocktail parties or corporate Christmas Parties with 12 metre high ceilings & large arched windows.

Grand Bar

The Terrace has access via Circular Quay West up the stairs. This large space has a retractable roof & can be joined with the Conservatory (which has a Full Bar). Maximum Capacity of the whole terrace is 110 guests. We recommend booking the Conservatory & Terrace for larger groups as the Conservatory has its own Bar.

The Conservatory is an indoor space suitable for 30-50 guests for a stand up style Event with a full service bar. The Conservatory has direct access to the Terrace via a glass door.

This space is also perfect for a small dinner party of up to 40 guests, seated on two long tables. 

We do not host 18th-21st Birthdays.

This room is both magnificent and comfortable. Featuring two 1.4m LCD screens, a 3.5m LED screen and PA/PC audio system, natural light and a private smoking balcony. Accommodating up to 80 theatre style, 120 casual presentations, 130 banquets and 300 cocktails. From Christmas parties and EOFY functions, product launches, presentations, networking event, team building, Trivia nights, and meetings, through to weddings, christenings, engagement party or milestone birthday celebrations. The Bethel Stairs balcony off the southern side of the room is a perfect open balcony escape. The Rawson Room provides the perfect backdrop for entertaining.

The Ground Floor is composed of The Rawson Room, The Chapel combined with Bethel Balcony has endless event possibilities; banquet with pre or post-dinner drinks lounge area, a cocktail party with a VIP, or quiet room, tasting experience space or green room in Chapel just to name a few.

Ground Floor

This exquisitely designed floor has plush regal furnishings and elegant finishes balanced with high arched and pressed metal ceilings. 

The first things you notice as you step out of the elevator onto the private floor are dark, polished floorboards leading to a striking bar. Featuring the main reception room, with an additional two wings, this space is lavish in design and complete with a smoking balcony viewing Circular Quay. An elevated DJ position that is only revealed when a secret glass wall panel is opened is another defining aspect of this room. 

This custom-designed level is all about luxurious glamour and beautifully blended eclectic chic. Three areas of this space may be curtained off to allow for a multitude of capacity combinations from 40-200 guests.

The Governor's Room

This is a semi-exclusive area for up to 36 guests seated capacity in the main dining floor area. Tucked away in its own section of the restaurant, The Nook is an ideal space for groups wanting their own area within the buzz of the main dining floor. The Nook is your perfect birthday dinner space, team lunch, or group dinner option.

All Appetito The lower ground Appetito ristorante includes a retractable roofed Terrace, The Sun Room, and Appetito dining room's The Nook and The Cucina. Offering numerous function opportunities from cocktail parties, private dinners with outdoor pre-dinner drinks, and separate dancing areas. Exclusive entry is available via West Circular Quay Overseas Passenger Terminal. Screens and PA/PC audio facilities are also available on this floor.

Lining The Rawson Bar’s sandstone walls are smart leather booths, which may also be hired for more casual gatherings. Perfect for team drinks, farewells, and birthdays. Suitable for 20 guests (seating approximately 8-12 guests pending booth). 

Up to a maximum of 4 booths can be booked per group or the leather booths that border The Rawson Bar’s sandstone walls may be hired for more casual gatherings and non-exclusive events. Sit back, relax in your own comfortable reserved area and enjoy it.

Bar 100 Booths

This multi-use venue prides itself on its unique function spaces. You have the options of everything from reserving a section of The Rawson Bar area for your party, to closing off the whole venue for an exclusive event. 

The Sunroom

¼ The Rawson Bar includes the northern section of 4 booths and up to 3 tall bar tables with stools and an exclusive section of the bar. Suitable for 50-80 guests pending furniture movement. ½ The Rawson Bar includes the northern entry and northern ½ of the room and is suitable for 100-150 guests.
