Reviews for The Sebel Quay West Suites Sydney

What a mixed bag this was! Great view from our 23rd floor room, which was more of an apartment, really. The room was clean, comfortable and well furnished with a couple of minor flaws - like the bin, hot water pressure and the air-con. Access to the hotel lobby via someone else's car park elevator dampened the arrival experience somewhat but staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great - it's a 10 minute walk to the Rocks and Circular Quay and about 20 minutes to the Town Centre. Light rail option makes this super easy.

We booked for the pool views and were not disappointed! The pool and spa on level 23 have absolutely breathtaking views of the Harbour and Opera House—such a memorable spot to relax and enjoy as a family. The rooms were spacious, clean, and perfect for families, with plenty of room to spread out and the sofa bed already made up on arrival. Everything was well-stocked (coffee machine with ciffee pods, tea, milk, and sugar) and replenished daily, which made our stay really convenient. The check-in process was smooth, and we loved that we could still use the facilities after check-out. With a late flight, being able to enjoy the pool, gym, sauna and showers while our bags were safely stored made a huge difference for us and the kids. Pool towels were provided, which was a big help with little ones in tow. The staff were friendly and great with communication before and during our stay. The only slight challenge was the walk from Circular Quay train, as the area near The Rocks has some stairs and uphill sections. With luggage, it’s much easier to take the lift near the Harrison Street car park entrance (a great tip for families). Overall, this hotel was family-friendly, convenient, and offered unbeatable views. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it for anyone travelling with kids.

I chose to stay here because it was actually cheaper to book a two-bedroom apartment than a one-bedroom room at the Sofitel Wentworth—prices have really skyrocketed lately! The apartment had clearly been refurbished and was spotlessly clean. It came with two fridges, which was super handy for storing groceries. There was also a full kitchen with an oven, microwave, and dishwasher, plus a laundry and two bathrooms. The toilets had seat warmers and bidet which I’d never seen before. It even had three TVs, which was a nice bonus. I’ll share some photos (taken just before I checked out, so excuse the mess!) so you can get a sense of the space. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, which made check-in and check-out easy. The only downside was the breakfast, which was very basic and disappointing. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast made vegan, and it was just a small serve of baked beans, half a grilled tomato, sourdough toast, and hash browns. The self-serve options weren’t much better—some not-so-fresh fruit, juice, and a limited selection of cereal. I’d suggest not adding breakfast and finding somewhere else or making your own in the room. The pool was beautiful and the spa was nice and warm! I did not try the sauna but I’ll likely return and see.

Even though we were in the non-refurbished part, the apartment was in excellent condition and we had a great view of the city. On the 15th floor, it was very quiet and peaceful. Easy walk to Circular Quay, the train station and Sydney Harbour bridge, with lots of eating places within a very short walk. We loved staying at this place.

We were in Sydney to celebrate my wife's birthday and also to see Oasis concert. It was a memorable stay, the view from our 2 Bedrooms Harbor View was unbeatable. Walking distance to the Rocks, Observatory Hills, and Barangaroo area. Hospitality could be improve. Even though I mentioned in the reservation that the occasion of stay was my wife's bday; we did not get a greeting card or anything.
