It was lovely to be back at the Playford Hotel, enjoyed it as much as the first time. We booked the New York Style room like last time. The only down side was that the cleaning left a lot to be desired. On the outset it looked great, however when I took a shower and it steamed up you could clearly see all the soap marks on both the screens (from someone else!) and that the mirror had not been dusted in quite sometime. The staircase too had a lot of dust in the corners and on the back parts.

We were woken up just past midnight with consistent loud music playing (heavy beat). I had a look out the window, and it appeared to be coming from the nightclub/bar on the corner - I don’t know what the club was called but it was the one across from KFC. My husband and I, decided whether we call guest services or just let it be. Considering we were staying only 1 night and we didn’t want to get up and go to the trouble of moving room, we decided to stay put. I regret this decision as the music played all the way up to 4am. The next morning on check out, I spoke with guest services regarding the issue. They were well aware that this is an ongoing problem with the noise coming from the night club venue. Guest services put me in contact with management and asked that I provided feedback so the matter can be added to an ongoing dispute. I was disappointed to hear that the hotel is well aware of the noise problem, yet still checked us into the room. I would have preferred that this issue had been brought to my attention upon check in, as I would have requested a different room away from the noise (I wouldn’t have minded if it was down-graded). Feedback was provided to management. Besides this room was spacious, clean and modern. We won’t be booking here again.

MGallery Adelaide is our favourite place to stay. Location is great. Facilities are excellent. The suites are sensational with the best deep bath tubs in town. And the staff are all wonderful. They always go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. (Ricky gets our MVP vote here!). We look forward to returning to stay again soon.

Staff were pleasant and helpful except the room service forgot to give us milk for tea for the last 3 days. Had to request. The beds were nice and firm. Christmas lunch was excellent. Need to update their towels and bath robes. It's too old for a 5-star hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Loved the atmosphere and the decor. Staff very friendly and rooms kept to a high standard. We will use the pillow menu next time we stay (we didn’t this time and regretted it). Nice pool and spa in the basement. Loved the complimentary refreshing drink at reception. Very handy to the convention centre (just across the road), shopping, art gallery, museum and botanic gardens. Thanks for a great stay.
