We loved it! Stayed for my husband’s birthday, we did a three course dinner & had breakfast the next day. Food was delicious! Absolutely loved the whole experience, everyone was so nice, they gave us a special chocolate gift and free beers to our room for his birthday. The room was gorgeous & had the most comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and overall were quite satisfied with our experience. The location is truly one of its strongest points very central and convenient. It was an easy and enjoyable walk to Adelaide Oval, and also close to the River Torrens, which made it perfect for relaxing strolls. Getting around the city from here was simple, with great access to everything nearby. The staff were warm, friendly, and always approachable. I especially appreciated their kindness when I asked them to heat up my child’s food they were more than happy to help, which made things much easier for me as I could comfortably feed my child in the room. I also used the swimming pool during our stay. It is an indoor pool and on the smaller side, but still quite nice. I had my child with me and it was suitable for us, so we were able to enjoy it together. Breakfast was good in terms of quality and presentation, although it remained exactly the same each day with no variation at all. It wasn’t a major issue, but a little variety would have made it even better. Overall, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would happily consider staying here again.

This was a stay for my husband's birthday, it was nothing short of amazing luxury for us. We received an amazing upgrade on check in, which made it truly special from the start. The suite was gorgeous, luxury comfort at every turn, the style in the room and hotel was so unique and set the Playford apart. Everything in the suite was of extremely high quality, the bed was divinely comfortable and huge. The bathroom was stunning, the jet bath and the shower amazingly wonderful. We loved the use of the high quality gym, pool, spa and sauna facilities, we didn't really need to go out... The staff across all areas of the hotel were second to none, highly trained, even the trainees were of extremely high standards and did a fantastic job. We were well cared for by every staff member, from Housekeeping, to reception staff and of course the restaurant and bar staff. We enjoyed a delightful high tea and fine dining dinner, we could really feel the care given to us by all staff, and they went over expectations to make my husbands birthday really special. We were indeed valued as customers, and can't wait to return to the Playford again soon. It is definitely a luxury 5 star hotel at affordable rates worth staying at. An easy rating of 5 Stars for quality, style, luxury, staff and customer service.

Clean and aesthetically pleasing. All staff were helpful and friendly, from reception to the bar to the cleaning staff. All essentials are provided. Most things are within walking distance. As a young solo female traveler I booked this hotel with safety in mind, and my experience felt safe.

We traveled to Adelaide on business last week and initially enjoyed our stay at The Playford Hotel. However, the situation deteriorated in the early hours of Monday morning after returning from a welcome event. I collected an Uber Eats order at approximately 1:30 a.m., returned to the room, ate quickly, and went to bed because my wife and I had a demanding day ahead. At approximately 3:40 a.m. the fire alarm sounded. A young member of the front-desk staff came to our room; I opened the door, he conducted a brief visual inspection and then followed the responding fire brigade. He did not physically inspect the smoke detectors, but nonetheless concluded the alarm had been triggered by cigarette smoke—despite the fact that neither of us smokes. In the morning I requested a full inspection of the room. The hotel later altered its account, asserting that vape aerosol, masked by deodorant, had activated the alarm; they cited that I had disposed of a spent vape in the bin and left my deodorant in the room after dressing. We repeatedly attempted to explain our version of events but encountered obstacles at every turn, and were ultimately charged $1,000 for an incident we did not cause. The hotel could’ve absorbed this cost. Thanks for a very bad and unforgettable stay.
