Reviews for Pullman Melbourne City Centre

Our stay was amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. The lobby was elegant and modern, and check-in was quick. The room had a stunning city view and all the amenities we needed. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The pool and gym were great additions too. A perfect place for both business and leisure stays in Melbourne.

The hotel was very clean and rooms larger than we expected. The staff were welcoming and nice to deal with. It was very convenient to shopping right outside the door, trams were also located right outside the door of the hotel, but it was reasonably quite and hidden away at the same time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Only annoying thing was that the GHD hair straightener was not working when I wanted to get ready, super annoying, as my partner had to get it replaced via reception and hence this made us being late. There is some small noise coming from the night club music but we were able to sleep through it and wasn’t too bad, maybe higher floors would have less of this (we were on second floor). Otherwise we would stay again.

For $399 a night you expect decent brand of tea and a notepad and pen in the room. Rooms were small but clean. Service was slow at checkout…there was a second staff member but he preferred to fluff pillows rather than print out a receipt. None of the above is bad, just more in line with a $200 hotel.

Basic Standards Not Met I recently stayed at the Pullman Melbourne and was quite disappointed with the level of customer service. I had a simple enquiry about whether breakfast was included in my package, as it was the case before. The receptionist advised that he would check with the company and get back to me this was around 5:30pm. Unfortunately, there was no proactive follow-up. I had to chase the team three separate times just to get an answer to what should have been a straightforward query. For a hotel that positions itself as a premium brand, this lack of responsiveness and ownership is well below expected standards. A basic level of service is proactive communication and timely resolution, and this experience fell short. I hope management takes this on board and ensures future guests receive the level of care and professionalism that should come as standard.

Great location in the centre of Melbourne and handy to all services and entertainment. Rooms are roomy and airy and the staff are friendly. Breakfast buffet is actually a menu so not the traditional buffet and the bacon in my bacon and egg roll I ordered was extremely overcooked. Overall a good place to stay.
