Stayed at Holiday Inn Express Little Collins in Melbourne and had a very pleasant experience! The hotel is right in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the train station and plenty of restaurants and cafés. Its modern design and clean rooms made for a comfortable base. I appreciated the included breakfast each morning, which added good value to the stay. The staff at reception were welcoming and helpful throughout — made check-in and check-out very smooth. The city view from the room is just breathtaking!! Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Melbourne!

Great convenient location, good amenities, comfortable rooms (although pillows aren’t great..), and awesome breakfast buffet (included). Bathroom design is a bit novel and whilst I didn’t have any problems with it when I stayed in the Sunshine Coast location by myself.. I found it to be potentially problematic if you are staying with someone other than your spouse/partner. Overall it is a good hotel and great value. We would definitely consider coming back to stay the next time we visit Melbourne.

Pros: Nice room, fantastic locations and free buffet (quite a small selection) water filters at the buffet station. You can borrow an umbrella from front desk. Front desk allows for slightly earlier check in if you join IHG membership (which I did). Cons: Room is perpetually cold (thermal stat does little to warm up). Room uses sensor, for both nights I pooped and shower and the bloody lights goes off mid shower (WTH?!) Does not offer Bedroom slippers, was told by reception that they do not provide for Holiday Inn Express. For AUD700 plus for 2 nights, i genuinely expected more. It was a business trip paid for by corporate, so safe to say i will not stay here on my own dime.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The views are absolutely stunning — whether you’re relaxing in your room or enjoying breakfast, the scenery is unforgettable. The entire property is spotless, with a real emphasis on cleanliness throughout. Breakfast was delicious each morning with a good variety to choose from. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make my stay perfect. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, quality, and amazing views!

Stayed for 5 nights during the week, and was impressed with the location (really just a 2-minute walk from Southern Cross where the airport buses depart/arrive from), the hospitality of the staff when I checked in a little early (moving me to a higher floor with a better view), and how well the room has been maintained (compared to some other Holiday Inns I've been to). This place will always feel special, as thanks to the higher floor I was given upon request on check-in, my wedding proposal ended up being even better than expected, and I'm just thankful for the all-around hospitality provided by the front desk team. Only gripes were the breakfast (it's complimentary and the food is pretty good, but the items were pretty much the same throughout, would love more variety there), and the fire alarm that rang at around 5am in the morning on my last night that turned out to be a false alarm.. But all in all, it was a great experience.
