The hotel itself looks quite nice. Inside the rooms are not clean. The staff excluding an Indian lady are nice and friendly - they were more welcoming then that lady. There was hair between the sink and mirror when we arrived, linen was dirty as was the floor near the tv. I think if they improve on cleanliness it would be different. The pool was also not heated which was a shame as one would expect that from an indoor pool as well as the cold weather. The location is great, not far from the foreshore. Parking at $25 was a bit rich though.
The physical building is lovely. It’s comfortable and pretty clean though given the modern nature of life you’d expect there to be USB charging points in the rooms and extra rolls of toilet paper. The beds are too soft and the air conditioning system isn’t very forgiving so be prepared to freeze or swelter and get dry sinuses. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but just a few minor details will improve things a bit.
We stayed her recently for out first family holiday an d honestly we were not happy. The rooms were so dirty and we were advised that they were cutting costs so not enough staff so I was left to clean the floor of old food before I could let me kids sleep in there. The bathrooms were also not cleaned. We ordered room service that night as we were exhausted from travelling over 10 hours and the chicken was still raw in the middle. Spoke with the attendant at the desk as we also did not have a phone in room, and they said they would come back to me but never did but were happy to charge us even though we could not eat it. Paid the extra fee for the buffet breakfast (surcharge from Easter) and there were no cutlery, glasses and the food was completely hard so we had to eat elsewhere. In the end the manager at the desk gave us 4 drink cards to compensate. I took one to the counter to use to get a coffee and was told I could not even have a coffee before 4pm. This hotel and lack of customer service was ridiculous. If I wanted a trip where I had to clean I would have stayed home. They also locked us out of our room 2 hours before our check out time. I was very happy we called around and found a hotel with proper customer service, clean rooms and edible food in the end.
Stayed with my mum for an early Mother’s Day on the weekend of election. We were not aware of the heating system being disabled and needed fixing until I raised concerns after I returned to room seeing my mum freezing in the room. We were told the air conditioning system in some rooms not working and that is why the hotel is closed for the next following days for it to be fixed. When I asked if they knew about this before our arrival I didn’t get a clear answer. The receptionist at departure was new and she had no idea how long ago the problem has been on going. They brought us a free stand heater for the night which warmed us up but I was so disappointed and embarrassed in front of mum that we had to sit around the heater to keep warm like the 1980’s. disappointed Breakfast in the morning was cold, poor quality pastry, eggs, coffee. Poor service quality. Only 1 person to make coffee, to sit everybody and clean tables. Dissatisfied with everything. Won’t recommend this place at all unfortunately. Location was great, quite central and beautiful autumn day outside.
Nice and convenient place. Close to everything. The indoor pool, spa and sauna was a plus. We had buffet breakfast for a few days, everyday it was the same food, variety in some food would have been good. No kitchenette in the rooms. 25$ extra for on-site parking. The Easter bunny was a good add-on for kids.
