Our stay would have been significantly better if the staff hadn’t been so rude and entitled. We arrived at 2pm and were told by lobby staff that early check-in would be available. However, when we tried to check in, we were informed the room wasn’t ready. We ended up waiting until after 4pm, despite staff being fully aware that my sister—who is heavily pregnant and unwell—needed to rest before an event we had at 5pm. No apology was offered, and the only “compensation” was a single drink card—which is of no use to a pregnant guest. Once we finally got into the room, the issues continued: • The quilt was too small for the bed. • The fridge didn’t work properly and lacked a freezer, leading to a significant amount of food being wasted. • The heating wasn’t functioning and required maintenance to fix it—late in the evening. The following day, we returned to find cleaners had accidentally broken a bathroom mirror. Maintenance was called again, resulting in loud drilling and disruption—not the relaxing experience we’d hoped for. While the room issues could have been tolerated, the complete lack of empathy or kindness from staff made it far worse. Their attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, as though they thought they were above the guests. Sadly, we won’t be returning—purely due to how poorly we were treated by staff.
Really quiet, corner rooms have amazing views, love the bathtub. All very relaxing and just feels like quality. Location is excellent. Have stayed many times and will keep coming back. Worth the money.
A family trip to the city. 2 adults 2 children, room was a good size for us all, comfy king bed with, I was told, a comfy sofa bed. Staff were friendly. The hotel is in a great location, easy to get to/from, close to the light rail. We had lounge access, and that was good. Busy, but the small canapees and drinks were restocked, plates and drinks cleared, the staff doing a wonderful job. Breakfast was good too. We've had a few breakfasts around accor properties lately, this had the best made to order omelettes we've had in a while.
From appearance, facilities, staff and location, this hotel provides it all. We enjoyed a 3 night stay after traveling on the Indian Pacific. Situated around the corner from the mall, and very close to the stunning Queen Victoria and Strand Arcades you couldn't ask for a better location. It's a short walk to Darling Harbor and the tram is right there if you don't feel like walking to Circular Quay. The staff were all friendly and accommodating - the concierge was very helpful, check in staff friendly and the staff in the bar and breakfast room were great. The bar staff were terrific in recommending drinks and provided a fantastic service. We would definitely stay again.
Check-in at the hotel was seamless, with beautifully designed and impeccably clean rooms. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, and the soundproofing ensured a peaceful stay. Everything you could need was right at your doorstep—delicious restaurants, vibrant bars, and easy access to the tram for getting around the city.
