Very average stay for a not very cheap hotel. The location is handy but not if you have a car. Don't bother with the restaurant, you will just be disappointed. The room was fine, but the service is terrible. The staff are not customer focused at all. Stay somewhere else.....

Disclaimer: this review describes an attempted stay. First impressions were slightly, but not badly, off: the pool was out of order for at least the day of arrival, which was a bit disappointing. The room seemed decent enough, and the bed looked OK. The view was meh, but not bad. The bathroom looked like it belongs to a public pool or a gym, but the shower was excellent - couldn’t _quite_ stand up, but other than that it was great. The desk was decent, but with a mediocre chair. Sufficient power points, except by the bed which only had them on one side of the bed. The deal-breaker, however, was the broken air conditioning. The room was hot and humid upon arrival, which I assumed is easily resolved by turning on the A/C. Not so. Long story short, the whole hotel had a malfunctioning air conditioning system, and they were unable to fix it, so after 9pm, I left to another hotel so I could actually sleep. Assuming things work, this felt like a nice enough hotel in a good location, but the experience now was sub-par at best, and far from perfect even assuming the room had a working AC.

We stayed here with family, 2 standard rooms and one executive room. The location is awesome for transport, shopping and restaurants. The lounge is nice, simple but decent selection and lots of space. Breakfast was good, busy but the team were really efficient. There is a small gym and the oool area is really nice.

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Swissotel. The location is perfect, close to Hyde park and 20 minutes walk to the Opera House. The room was spacious and clean and had large windows and a nice view. The bed and pillows were awesome. We had a king size bed you can get lost in. This is the first time in a long time that I have seen the bed not fully tucked in under the mattress. I loved it. Usually, the first thing I do before going to bed in a hotel is to untuck the bed. I could never get any sleep in a tucked in bed. I wander if anyone ever does. Seems like a pointless thing for room service to do this every day. The hotel has a nice pool as well.

We were well looked after by the staff. The rooms were clean and nice. A little dated, but not bad at all. Think 2010s style luxury. The atmosphere was nice and quiet compared to the busy city below. Our room was turned over twice a day and always neat, with water and chocolates left behind. Housekeepers were great.
