I am familiar with this particular Accor Novotel in Melbourne. I used to stranger frequently before I retired. I had to visit Melbourne to attend a convention and did not hesitate to select Mobotel on Collins once more. Perfectly located downtown Melbourne CBD. Extremely convenient for shopping , theatres and restaurants. The hotel itself is classy, comfortable with well trained staff throughout. It has a more than adequate dining area for à la carte breakfasts and serves great lunches and dinners, with a standard that one could bring clients to Dine. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotless. Overall, the hotel is quiet, almost boutique like which belies the fact that it’s in the heart of the city. I recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Collins during my Melbourne trip, and it was truly an excellent choice. The location could not be better, right in the heart of the CBD, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Throughout my stay, I felt completely comfortable and everything was seamless. I would like to give a special mention to Salvatore from Concierge, who was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. From explaining how to get to the Melbourne Museum, assisting with my Myki card, to recommending fantastic brunch spots, his service was absolutely outstanding. Hats off to a true Concierge! Also, Udara from the Front Office was very kind and helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. If you value convenience, exceptional service, and a central location, I highly recommend Novotel Melbourne on Collins — the perfect place to stay in Melbourne!
GVNSLINGER
The hotel is okay, but you can get better for the same price elsewhere. The room had bedside lights that either didn't work, or were missing from the actual wall mount. The rooms that face the centre of the hotel only have windows that overlook the interior of the hotel which is covered in a green shade. No natural light and feels like you are staying inside a Sprite bottle. The elevator doors are straight out of a Final Destination movie, I had them close on me with a good amount of force before opening. Also saw another guest get chopped by them. Housekeeping didn't make up the room despite putting the request card on the door handle when we left for the day at 9am. Returned at 4pm and the room hadn't been touched. Beds weren't super comfy, they are on the hard side. And the choice of pillows was either ultra soft so you immediately sink through it, or a memory foam pillow that was like a slab of stone. The location of the hotel is decent though.

I recently used the Novotel on Collins to deliver a one day work conference for around 160 people. The staff were fantastic. They really cared about doing a great job and making the experience enjoyable for our delegates. The food was excellent and we were quickly seated for lunch. The ballroom was a bit of a squeeze for our large group, but everything else was so fantastic that it was a minor inconvenience.

We stayed at Novotel on Collins for 5 nights and had a great experience. At first after reading some reviews, we were going to move hotel after 1 night but we were happy with everything so we did not move. We stayed in Junior Suite room, it is a large and clean room. Bed are comfortable but tried few pillows and did not find any good one. Room is facing internal (atrium) and there is construction going on but couldn't hear any noise. Concierge team was excellent, housekeeping did a lovely job, all staff are flexible, friendly and attentive. Breakfast with freshly made juice is a point of difference and we really enjoyed it! During our stay, lifts are working well. Lifts from Reception at level 3 to the room at level 11 are very fast. Only took 5 seconds to reach the room floors. Swimming pool and jacuzzi are great. Location was very good, close to everywhere. Lots of shops and dining around. Close to Flinders station, Chinatown, Melbourne Central. We could even walk to Docklands. Overall, we had a great stay!
