SkillsBox Clinical Space

SkillsBox is the new frontier in multidimensional, clinical training in Western Australia. Located in the heart of the Richmond Quarter on Silas Street, East Fremantle, this new space takes into consideration alignment, placemaking, and interconnections to create the optimal environment for clinical training and education. With on-site parking and situated an easy 15-minute drive from the freeway, the site is accessible from either North or South.

We understand that clinical training is a multidimensional exercise. The intelligent space design at SkillsBox intends to meet the specific need in the WA market for a clinical learning environment that supports these equally specific training outcomes.

SkillsBox is available for sessional hire throughout the year for education and training purposes. The custom fit-out makes it ideal for practical and didactic education including: medical, aesthetics, general practice, nursing, first aid and more.


The Space
SkillsBox consists of several dynamic, clinical training spaces that easily adapt to your needs. Including a large classroom and separate break-away clinic rooms, with capacity for multiple configurations, and a reception space ideal for networking and collaboration.

The rear Main Classroom can be configured with the following capacities into theatre(32), classroom(24) , open rounds(20), U-shaped(12) or boardroom (12) seating. Within this area, a treatment space is equipped with a fully adjustable clinical couch, workbench and hand washing facilities. Adjustable studio lighting, lapel-microphones, and a 4K camera with 30x zoom capabilities allow high quality display of your teaching via 2 x 75” high definition monitors. The AV system seamlessly integrates into your preferred teleconference platform to enable real-time streaming via high-speed NBN connection.

When configured as a boardroom, the Main Classroom has a separate teleconferencing AV system to allow full-room audio pick-up.

In addition to the Main Classroom, there are 2 individual Clinic Rooms equipped with adjustable treatment couches, workbenches, basins, sharps disposal and body-protected electrical circuitry. Perfect for individual or small group learning, these rooms can also be opened up via sliding walls to the larger anterior reception/networking space, to enable larger groups to participate.

 
The Tech
SkillsBox clinical space is home to a state-of-the-art audio visual system that offers a wide range of capabilities to meet your needs and provides excellent presentation opportunities.

Within the conference area of the Main Classroom space, sits the latest-generation video conferencing system. Full wireless connectivity allows seamless and secure use of your preferred conferencing software professionally displayed on a high-definition 75” commercial screen.

The presentation capabilities located in the Main Classroom are the true star of the audio-visual system. Our latest 4K full-range, Panasonic PTZ Camera technology is capable of capturing precise close-up videos to use for your own recordings, presentations or live-streams. Used in combination with the in-house wireless lapel microphone, you can be sure of crystal-clear audio and visual experiences for both your face-to-face and virtual audiences. The high-tech camera system is easily controlled with a simple touch panel, able to customise pre-set views, assuring that you capture the image you need with ease.

This entire system is controlled through the user-friendly centralised AV Hub, with an intuitive touch panel that provides you control over two high-definition 75” displays in the Classroom and another 65” high-definition display in the Anterior Room, allowing you the flexibility to select what you want display on which screen at the time you choose.

Your own laptop can be connected to the system at the AV hub, allowing you to display your own power-point presentation, demonstration videos or visual aids, or stream the live presentation via your preferred online meeting platform.

Additional capabilities include custom content access to the included Media Player and localised Music via USB playback, so you can display your own branded content and select ambient audio suited to your event.

This incredible system is designed with the user experience in mind, and provide everything from advanced camera setups to tailoring the space for live streaming or in room presentations.

If you chose to use the AV system, our SkillsBox team will be on hand to operate this on the day, leaving you to do what you do best - teach, present, demonstrate. Catering and accommodation options are also available.
