Located on the ground floor, the Carlton Room is the perfect venue for your next conference, party, dinner, exhibition or wedding reception. The room can be configured to suit your needs, in any layout from theatre, boardroom, banquet or cocktail style. The room provides natural daylight and features ensuite bathroom facilities and a bar, which can be hidden away for those important business meetings. The Carlton room can be combined with the Grosvenor room for a maximum capacity of 180 guests.

I spent two nights at this comfortable, well-located hotel. While it is obviously an older hotel and the furnishings reflect this, I didn't mind that at all. It has a lovely atmosphere. My room was spacious with a very comfy bed. Everything was clean and tidy. I enjoyed sitting out in the little courtyard outside. All of the staff were so welcoming and friendly, including the cleaners and the service staff. The staff at the front desk on check-in and check-out were very helpful. The layout of the hotel was a little confusing to start with, but staff explained well using a clearly outline map. I enjoyed my stay a great deal.

We very much enjoyed our stay with a large, comfortable room; king sized bed; and lovely grounds. The staff were very helpful and to top off our stay, we were blown away by the effort the hotel puts into ANZAC Day. Though lots of people came and it seemed like the kitchen was overwhelmed, it was a lovely meal and morning.

We were allocated a room with a noisy air conditioner. When I requested to move, the staff were very willing to help and tested several rooms to ensure the room I chose was suitable. The change was effective and expertly executed. The quality of Breakfast does need to be improved. Only powdered scrambled egg for a choice and the orange juice ran out. For the cost (included in room tariff - value $26 each), the quality should have been better. The Hotel is old, rooms are small and less than Accor's usual standard, but it is very convenient to the Australian War Memorial.

Stayed here this week for a family trip to Canberra. Didn't sleep much as room was very noisy, could hear conversations in surrounding rooms and light was coming on from the hallway in the very large gap with the door hinge. Don't know if this meets fire and safety requirements.

Booked a room and checked in the same day due to problems with the previous accommodation I had booked. I am so grateful for the kindness of the front desk staff and how welcoming and caring each person was from the moment I arrived. Their kindness made a very stressful day much less terrible and truly made my stay. The room was also great and I had no issues during this stay! Thanks again to the amazing staff for doing their jobs so well :)
