Check in horrendous only one of the two staff could check us in. Hated the exhaust fan that wouldn't turn off. Luckily we were on the side with no noise from light rail construction. Big room. Good amenities. Great view. Comfy bed and pillow. Nice big shower with great water pressure. Hideous taste in art. Stupid joining room. Shouldn't have a door between 2 rooms. Qr code for all info doesn't work on android.

Great hotel, except for the gym; their website says that they have a gym membership with Club Lime; what it fails to mention is that they only have 5 Gym passes! It means at any point in time only 5 people can use the gym. As I went to the counter at 6 AM to get the pass to the gym, I was told sorry, please wait for someone to come back; unfortunately waiting was not an option as my conference started at 8.

We had made it our goal to stay at every QT in Australia. Loved Sydney, Newcastle & Gold Coast so far. Love the styling and the new scent each hotel had to offer. Special occasion wife's birthday booked for 3 nights concert booked for the last night. Got in late on the first night went up to our room and was hit immediately with a warm room of 26 degrees and a noise coming out of the air-conditioning, I rang downstairs and they were totally aware of the problem but gave us the room anyway and was told to come down in the morning and they may be able to change our room. Went and had a shower and there was black mould in the shower. No sleep at all ended up sick. Day 2 went downstairs and decided to give breakfast a go, no buffet breakfast and limited choice for food. I then requested a room change for the next 2 days and we were changed to a King Superior which we waited till 2.30 that day to move in. Moved rooms it was a 35 degree day in Canberra and the next rooms air conditioning was also broken and the manager came up to the room and couldn't turn the heat function off either and promised us maintenance would be up to fix it, no show from maintenance. We left the balcony door open for 2 days and nights for some fresh air. Staff didn't care about the customers and I cannot believe that the QT would put their name to this hotel. I have stayed in better 2 star motels in country towns. I should have left on the first night, you have wrecked my wife's birthday trip and you should be ashamed of charging people for this so called accomodation. Do not stay at the QT Canberra.

Amazing! My husband and I are here for our 2 year anniversary and couldn’t be happier with the service and location. The waitresses have been lovely, and the food is similarly wonderful. We were recommend the spanner crab omelette by the breakfast waitress, Parisa, it was delicious. QT also has great access to the lake, which works amazing for us as we enjoy running in the morning. My husband particularly enjoyed the artistic references to politicians around the venue. Looking forward to returning next year!

Awful hotel….well actually it is a motel standard. App check-in doesn’t work. Corridors are tired with scuffed and stained carpets. Doors are scuffed and chipped. Skirting boards are dirty. Room smells of old cigarette smoke. Verandah is filthy with old cigarette butts. Desk chair is old and stained…..sheets are clean but stiff and scratchy. Pillows rock hard. Air Con sounds like a loaded 747 jumbo jet on takeoff. No power point or USB outlet at bedside so phone /watch has to be left on desk. I could go on and on but just imagine a grimy 2 star and you get the idea! Thank goodness we are only staying one night. QT Canberra is in desperate need of a refurb. Do not stay here unless you get a bargain rate and aesthetics is not your thing.
