Reviews for QT Sydney

I recall reviewing this magnificent hotel when it first opened, for the Sydney Morning Herald. Everything I enjoyed the first time I stayed is as good, if not better. Hotels can seem a little tired after a number of years, but not this one. Still fresh as a recently born daisy. Not only are the rooms thoughtfully designed, the location second to none (particularly if you are thinking of visiting the state theatre to inhale some sweet music, as I am tonight), the staff are what really make this place hum. Great bars, restaurants, great nooks and crannies. Chefs kiss from me.

Rooms are beautifully designed in an art deco style. Hotel is centrally located with great bars and restaurants located within the complex. Staff were exceptional, very welcoming. We were given a double upgrade to an executive king room which was amazing, and a late check out. Highly recommended

I’m writing this review and I haven’t even checked out yet! This hotel is amazing! The decor is quirky and eclectic, the rooms are beautiful, the beds are heaven and the staff are AMAZING. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly … the door people, the reception staff, the wait staff in the Parlour and Gowings were all fabulous. I always feel that staff are the best representation of a hotel and the management of QT Sydney should be extremely proud of the people they employ to represent them. We’ll definitely be returning and will wholeheartedly recommend QT Sydney to any of my friends who are planning at trip to Sydney. LOVE YOUR WORK QT SYDNEY! ❤️

For my 35th birthday, my partner booked a QT Corner suite for a night's stay. Initially, the room impressed us with its comfort, space, and lovely views of the QVB building, and the complimentary cake provided by the hotel was a thoughtful gesture. Opting for convenience, we chose to order room service through the QT App. Unfortunately, after selecting our meals and inputting our details, the app failed to process our order due to an 'invalid' error. Consequently, we had to visit the reception in person to place our order. When we returned, my partner encountered a further issue with the television indicating that the room wasn't checked in. After another visit to the front desk, this too was resolved. Our dinner arrived looking appealing, but only one set of cutlery was provided. Attempts to rectify this using the room's phone were unsuccessful as the phone system was down. I reported this to the reception, and although the staff were courteous and visited our room to confirm the issue, they could not fix the phone until the next day. By the time we began eating, our meal had cooled, and the ice we ordered never arrived with the meal. After yet another trip downstairs, the ice was finally delivered. Although we chose to dine in for a relaxed evening, the faulty phone system forced us to make multiple trips downstairs, which was far from relaxing. Additionally, the toilet's half-flush button was not working, though the full flush was operational. Despite these issues, the hotel's aesthetic and the room's amenities like the spacious bath allowed us to enjoy parts of our stay. Upon checkout, the hotel comped our meal and a drink from the mini-bar and offered an apology, along with a contact email for future bookings. While appreciative of the gesture, the late response and the accumulated inconveniences left us questioning if we would return. A more proactive approach to resolving guest issues would significantly enhance the experience.

Amazing! Check in was a breeze, our room super spacious and every staff member we saw was lovely. The drinks at the bar were beautiful, perfectly blended flavours. The bathtub was excellent, great size and easy to relax and still see the tv! Huge bar selection in the room too. Will be back !
