Great hotel close to pretty much everything including the railway station and tram stops with convenience shops , cafes and pubs all around. The police station is all but next door. Our room was just a little tired but comfortable and very clean. The hotel has all you need , pool, restaurant and great bar. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. No hesitation in returning!!

As per previous reviews, it is close to everything in the city, but I spent a Sunday night in a queen deluxe room for $168 on level 3. The following morning I called the front desk about staying an additional night, but was placed on hold for what seemed to be a very long time, once they returned, I was told they would call back...Again after a considerable length of time I was called and to my shock they wanted over $400 for the same small room, on a Moday...Seriously? The "buffet" breakfast is very average at best. Eggs were cold and bacon bland, plus there was only a small selection of the buffet. I took a bath and when lying in the bath I glanced at the toilet and there was dry urine down the outside of the toilet..... The staff member at the desk on checking out was very quiet and rude making me and the check out experience very uncomfortable. You need to take a lesson from your Melbourne hotel which is a much nicer, cleaner hotel and has friendlier staff making it a more enjoyable stay.

Was warmly welcomed and room was ready, spic and span!, with a great view over the pool area. Pool nice for relaxing under umbrellas, with plenty of space for families, staff were kept busy bringing cocktails poolside. Indoor common areas spacious for guests, with a lovely terrace restaurant, and a delicious range for either table or Room Service. Tried both, both excellent, well done chefs!! Bar area could do with a refresh of menu, nevertheless Grand Chancellor chain offers good overall experience.

The bed is already too old. You can easily feel that it is already flattened in the middle section. The water boiler was used to cook instant noodles. I removed a piece of chilly before using it. The boiled water comes with a light smell of noodles all the time. The hair dryer is missing its windy guide and the management says that they don't have a spare hair dryer to swap. Lastly, you need to be good at driving to the park in the crowded basement.

Our experience at the Grand Chancellor was truly delightful. The staff was warm and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere throughout our stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a charming and cheerful receptionist who made the check-in process seamless and enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgraded room that was impeccably arranged, offering a high level of comfort and attention to detail. The hotel's facilities were outstanding, surpassing those of any property I have visited before. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and comfortable experience in Adelaide.
