The reception staff was exceptional and were absolutely delighted seeing our young children. Every single one of them tried to give us a drawing book for the kids. At first, one of them checked us in and when we got there housekeeping still hadn't cleaned the room yet. So Emily from reception scrambled and got us another room. An hour or so later Nikki called me apologising profusely and gave us drink vouchers as compensation. In all honesty, I really didn't give it too much thought as it was just a simple mistake. It certainly was a delightful but entirely unexpected surprise. The location is perfect. There is a DFO five minutes walk away with a food court. There's a free shuttle bus that takes you to the airport - the ride is about 15 minutes, give or take. The restaurant downstairs in the lobby is good for an easy buffet breakfast. There is a pool on level five. The gym has a treadmill, stationary bike, yoga mat, and some free weights up to 17kg(?). The room was clean, the towels were presented nicely, and the tv greeted you by name on the home page. It was a comfortable stay.
We recently celebrated my sisters (twins) 60th birthday in the Flynn's function room for a private breakfast with 50 lovely women and all I can say is that the Events Manager did a fantastic job organising it. We didn't encounter any problems. We had hot and cold breakfast, pastries, breads, coffee, tea, water etc. We loved it !!! Some of the guests are still talking about it. We parked underground in the hotel premises and it was only $10 for 5 hours. The hotel is very clean, the staff at reception very friendly and well presented. I can honestly recommend this hotel.
Pros: - Rooms were clean. - Reception staff were okay and responsive and polite. Cons: - Parking is not free. - Parking bays are crammed and parking entry is a driving test in itself. For 25$ per night, not really worth it. - Bathroom was clean, but a bit weird. Bathroom curtain was short, didn't go all the way to the floor. This causes water to splash all over the bathroom. I expected a bit better infrastructure for $200+ - There is a hair dryer in the room but no plug in the bathroom i.e. in front of mirror to plug it. Feels like they just added the hair dryer to add basic things in the amenities. This might sound like a rant, but the hotel is not worth the price.
A real surprise for me. Not much experience staying at airport hotels. However the place is spotless and rooms were excellent. Clean , high ceilings and the food quality was very good. Service from Layla on reception was quick and efficient and very helpful. Santiago in the bistro restaurant was great a very charming and friendly young man who knew his job. Biggest impression was the space and cleanliness and very calm feeling across quite a stylish and welcoming decor
A truly disappointing stay! The only advantage is the 24-hour Woolworths next door — everything else was a letdown. First, the room door locks are basically broken. Even after locking from the inside, the door can still be opened with a key card from the outside. This means anyone could walk into your room at night — extremely unsafe. Second, there is no public transport from the airport to the hotel; the only option is a taxi, which costs around AUD 20. Third, some shuttle bus services to the airport are suspended. If your flight time falls during those gaps, you either need to take a taxi or leave much earlier. The room hygiene was also unacceptable: pillowcases and sheets were visibly dirty, the carpet hadn’t been cleaned, the bathroom drainage was blocked, and water overflowed while showering. All the lighting in the room is harsh white, which is not restful at all — the hotel should at least switch to warmer tones. Considering the price of over AUD 200 per night, the facilities and service fall far below expectations. I won’t stay here again and do not recommend it to others.
