Stayed couple of nights and had a really good experience. I booked a studio suite but got an upgrade to king suite on arrival, which is amazing. Breakfast was great. Room was specious and clean. Definitely gonna stay again and highly recommended.

The perfect Melbourne location! Older style rooms but they are clean, spacious with decent bed and pillows. Gym has enough equipment to get in a decent workout, the pool and spa area is a nice place to relax after a long day.

Love our 2 bedroom Suite, i found the rooms the beautiful, breakfast at Harry's Restaurant was great. Location was perfect for our stay. The rooms were very spacious, compared to other more expensive hotels near by. Glad I chose the Stamford, wish I stayed longer.

This place is old and run down, 3 start at best. The breakfast buffet is below average, and you have to pay for a real coffee. Rooms have old carpets and nasty old scractched up rusted bath/showers. Its not a 5 star hotel not even 3 star. I wanted to cancel as soon as I walked in but they must know this will always happen as they have a 48hr cancellation policy - Just fix the place, its gross! I have been here 3 days and they still have the welcoming plate with old cheese, crackers and and a rotting strawberry sitting on the dining table. Seriously its bad

Recently stayed here for a few days during Australian Open because it a. Had a bath & good amenities b. Was reasonable walking distance to the tennis and c. Reasonably priced compared to the inflation at other hotels during this time. Stamford is listed as 5 star on Wotif which it would have been in its prime in the 80s & 90s but it is definitely outdated and due for maintenance. While our room was clean it had tiles that looked like they were about to fall off, swollen/ scratched skirting boards and the bathtub was old and stained making it unappealing to use, didappointing considering the spa was a main reason we booked. We paid more for a bigger room with a kitchen but it was poorly equipped, quite literally 2 spoons, forks & knives with a note to say cooking equipment is only supplied on request. The amenities in the facility weren't much better. The spa near the pool had missing tiles and the tiles in the pool were stained and old. The sauna is tiny & the gym had no free weights only machines making it difficult to do workouts especially if busy. On the flipside the customer service was good, staff accomodated an early check-in and another request, the beds were comfy, nice big TV with chromecast to use Netflix, blackout curtains and regular housekeeping. The location is great only 15-20 mins to Melbourne park and gives easy access to the city. It has a daily buffet breakfast which was good but will set you back roughly $40 PP. If we could do this trip again we would have booked one of the other options that was similar pricing or slightly more but newer & would have sacrificed having bathtub. We would only for this again for location and it was
