Disgustingly overpriced hotel. You can find far better hotels for half the cost nearby. Their service is disgraceful, the rooms lack basic amenities like a coffee machine. Unacceptable given how expensive staying here is. The room was so bad I needed to move hotels. Of course, they wouldn't refund me for the night because their priority is taking as much money from you as possible. Avoid at all costs and stay elsewhere. EDIT: They have since replied with a completely BS response. After seeing our room and deciding it was a far better option to haul our luggage 2 blocks away to a different hotel. We asked reception if they would be willing to offer a refund. The advised us to request it through booking.com. We waited 2 days for a response and nothing. I had to call the hotel back for them to finally respond. They DENIED the refund request and the manager I spoke to gave me the worst treatment I've ever had from a manager of a hotel. It is so rich for them to advise me of the refund process when they've already denied me a refund by using that exact process. This hotel truly does not care about you!

Stayed for a conference and the whole experience is not 4-star. Service is not up to standards at all. Staff are nice and friendly, however, not trained properly and the entire operation does not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel. Housekeeping is sloppy, never cleaned and replaced used glasses . Bathroom wasn’t cleaned either, they only made the bed and that’s it! I had to ask for a bottle of water in the room and was told that they ran out water bottles. To my horror, I then witnessed the staff went into my colleagues room to take their bottle to bring it to me. The bottle was already open and the staff just topped it up with tap water. Went to the bar for a drink and the staff was not trained at all to operate a bar. Phone in the room doesn’t work for housekeeping or room services despite that they have a direct line, you need to call reception for them to take your order. This is not advised anywhere in the room so you just washed time dialing a dead phone line. I am sorry but this is not what you expect to stay in 4-star hotel. A disgrace on hospitality and shame on the management for not bringing their staff up to standards.

I stayed for 3 days with my colleagues, we were visiting for a conference. The rooms are decent, location is good but it was just shocking how the staff were ready to charge $5 for a bottle of water. As a 4-star hotel you would expect good service & at least 1 bottle of water per day complimentary. This is a basic service Voco should be providing. The other disappointing part is the breakfast. It’s really not up to standard plus they charge very highly for mediocre food. I’m writing this review so that the management can take action and hopefully improve their service.

Absolutely loved this hotel! We were upgraded to a river view room which was fantastic. Very very clean & modern, great price, and the service and staff were absolutely excellent (which is honestly hard to find!). I didnt even get to use the facilities except for the absolutely beautiful restaurant on the second floor. Dinner and drinks in a gorgeous setting overlooking the river watching everything going on plus the ambience of the candles and lighting was just wonderful. Have to do a special shout out to Trevor who really made our mums weekend away and Charles at the bar who was so helpful with great spots to check out around the area thank you to both of you for making our stay! All the staff were fantastic and the location was literally walking distance from everything. Will 100% be back - thank you!!

Right from the start, checking-in was super easy, and tailored to my requirements. Cheyyane helped me with confirming my booking, including payment. She was professional, accommodating and made the whole process super easy. Jo, an on-site trainee even offered a cookie on check-in! The room was of good size (Std. Queen room), very comfortable bed, good views, nice bathroom and good amenities. Breakfast was excellent: had a great variety of breakfast items, including an egg-station manned by Bala. He made some absolutely delicious masala omelette at request. Harshi, the manager there was professional, courteous and attentive. Carolina and Bavish too were very friendly, welcoming and had a pleasant work-attitude. The hotel is situated very well in the CBD and is of walking distance from Southbank. Some great coffee places are nearby too. Overall, throughout my 7-days stay, I found the service at Voco Brisbane to be outstanding! I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
