Great location and rooms. The restaurant of an evening let's the hotel down. The service is poor but the food was good. Morning smorgasbord was excellent. Plenty of good restaurants around so use them. Good stay and good price.
Staff at hotel is fantastic. My room was quite nice with king bed and the excellent IHG linens and pillows. Refrigerator in room. Bath has large shower with excellent shower heads and water pressure. The only flaw ( BIG ONE ) is with Zuma restaurant. My order was not presented after 1 hour of waiting, and patron beside me was served the wrong order. Twice. I gave up and left.
I would advise against staying in this hotel unless you want to treat yourself to the experience of being woken up at 2am by roadside construction ( they were sawing and pouring concrete), a semi working air conditioner and not too comfy mattress. We stayed in a standard room. The staff were nice and tried to switch rooms due to aircon and mattress issues with our previous room only to swap with one with noise pollution and aircon issues :( . Not a staff issue, more like a poorly refurbished old hotel trying to be dressed up as a 4 star hotel . Horrible experience overall, we got out of the hotel exhausted and tired. Definitely not what I expect of an IHG hotel
Wish i was writing a different review as all the staff went above and beyond what was expected as we were celebrating a very special milestone for myself and my wife.The buffet breakfast was up there with the best. Now the not so nice part of our stay. Our room was what I would call one of the worst rooms we have ever stayed in. Absolutely disgusting, dirt film in the bathtub, hairs also in the bathtub which are definitely not ours. Dirty bed sheets, oily stains on the dining table. To have our special day ruined by this is to say the least is disappointing. We will be taking this up with management
I had booked two nights but had to cancel due to cyclone and canceled flights. Called hotel to get refund (2 days prior to stay) and they would not refund. Unbelievable. I couldn't even get there. The hotel advised me to contact wotif who then called hotel and managed to get 1 nights accommodation refunded..I won't be staying in the future..
