A fabulous hotel with an unbeatable location on Collins street. Service, check-in and check-out were speedy and problem free. The rooms are very well appointed and the atmosphere is so special. The Friendly Concierge service and help was appreciated. We had access to the Club area and that was a special experience. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed my stay here. (Thanks for the upgrade as a Platinum Ambassador member - much appreciated). It's a historic building and the rooms could probably do with a bit of a refurbishment, but they're very clean, comfortable and it's got a lot of charm and the staff were lovely (particularly Aaron on reception). Bed was really comfortable and the shower was good too. Location is excellent. The only downside experienced was housekeeping... After servicing the room (which was after 3pm - very late), bathroom amenities (including tissues) weren't restocked and we had to call down to get supplies. Also, I'm not sure if there's a "turn-down" service, but came back to the room after dinner and the curtains had been closed but nothing else had been done to refresh the bed or the room. Very odd! Minor points but just thought I'd mention them for feedback. Still enjoyed the stay overall.

I stayed with my family at the start of December for one night. The location and facilities and room are amazing. Just what we needed but I have been emailing & calling for over 2 weeks to receive my $100 deposit they took from me on check out! It’s now nearly 3 weeks later & I still don’t have it. Yesterday I spoke to somebody who said I was getting an email to confirm it But I still don’t have it! It’s also very tricky to actually reach the front desk at the hotel when you do call. Hopefully soon it’ll be returned

Overall not what you may expect from an Intercontinental experience elsewhere so be prepared. I’m a top tier member and stay at many Intercon properties. Took three requests to get a twin booked room instead of a double that was supplied for the kids with the housekeeping finally separating the double. Rooms are a bit tired and there are no views and it’s barely 5 star. All is clean though and staff did try ….just could bring it together for a polished experience. Great location but have stayed at better for the price in Melbourne.
