Probably the worst hotel stay I’ve had in a very long time. No acknowledgment of status from the hotel at all except for saying “thank you for being a silver member” which was just plain wrong as I am a gold. The first night after my brother showered he began having an allergic reaction which we investigated and discovered was due to mould in the shower. It was past 11pm and I didn’t want to be a pain so I left it for the night. I went down to reception the next day and informed them of the issue around 11am where they said they would send someone to clean it or change my room. Got back around 6pm and not only had the mould not been dealt with, but housekeeping hadn’t been to my room at all. So I then went back to reception to let them know and they once again said they would look into it. I left the hotel again to get dinner and when we came back housekeeping had attended the room and there was a strong smell of bleach coming from the bathroom, yet all the mould remained there uncleaned. To top it all off when leaving the hotel I was overcharged for parking. We stayed there 3 nights and I was charged $260 instead of the $195 it should’ve been. Overall very disappointed and embarrassed as I booked this hotel thinking it would be a nice stay for my brothers and I.

Super clean room. I loved the extra touch the cleaning staff did organising all my toiletries on a towel beautifully. The breakfast buffet was just yummy. Central location. Within waking distance to all the restaurants. Staff very professional and friendly. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Location great, staff friendly, Breakfast great, but the room is lacking for the 5 star price tag. No mini bar, fridge not cold (concierge notified), beds made but not neat. Comfy beds and linen but noisy overnight with motors going all night (we were in 772). More like a 4 star stay not worth the price tag of 5 star

The hotel location is excellent, next to KGS bus station and access to Queen St Mall shopping precinct. Arrival was average, wasn’t greeted or welcomed by the staff member standing at the driveway door entrance when we arrived with our luggage. Check in was ok, some light conversation though no information provided about hotel or facilities, had to ask where breakfast was to be served and to reconfirm it was included in rate I’d booked. Room was nice enough and very clean. Bed very comfy. Minimal amenities provided, basic tea and coffee making, shower cap, cotton pads, comb and sanitary bags. I’d expect a pod coffee machine in a 5 star hotel these days. Does eco friendly cancel out offering a 5 star facility? The ironing board was old and rickety, had lost 2 feet so wasn’t stable, making ironing a bit awkward. Breakfast buffet was ok, had all the things you’d expect to be there, coffee machine offered nice coffee. I’m not sure how hotels are rated these days, but I’d probably give. 4 star at best. My daughter and I had a nice staycation in the city, though I’m glad we stayed when the rates were cheaper than they usually are. Pullman King Balcony Room 567.

Room was shabby, furnishings bland. Pillows uncomfortable. Soap fixed to the wall in shower and by the sinks - no way of taking soap to the bath. Disturbed on our last morning by Housekeeping despite a late check out. Room cleaned but empty crisp packets left lying around. Paid for champagne on arrival but it wasn’t there. Tried to call reception seven times - no reply. Spoke to concierge who said they would sort. Returned after a few hours, still no champagne. Walked down to reception, they said they would fix immediately. After 40 mins champagne was delivered. Bottle handed over with no champagne flutes, no ice bucket. What was delivered was sparkling wine, not champagne. No mugs at the coffee machine at breakfast. Asked staff member for two mugs. Staff member eye rolled and brought a single mug. I asked for a second mug. Staff member eye rolled (even more) before bringing a second mug.
