Unfortunately my room was on a low level (3) and adjacent to the busy road junction. Noisy into the evening and again in the morning. Also the lighting in the room was very poor. Ceiling lights dim and no lamps near the work desk. Had to move the desk to be near the bedside lamp just to get some light on the desk. Bathroom was a bit tired and dated. Staff very friendly. Check in efficient.

We spent 3 nights at this location, and it was very disappointing. The rooms are out dated, the bathroom was mouldy with a slippery shower/tub combo, and most importantly in summer - the AC did not work. After no luck with maintenance improving the situation, we were given a pedestal fan to get us through our stay. While the staff were lovely, and the location is good, that's where the positives end. There are much better alternatives for the same price.

We stayed 1 night, we did check-in at 2.15pm, then had to wait 20min for the room key. Was told nothing about where anything was, we were told, go over that way to get to the room, I had to ask what floor we were on and do we need to do anything for the lift to work, non of this information was given without asking. For a 5 star hotel it was very disappointed that the shower was over the bath. The air-conditioning did not work well and the room did not smell great. We are not snooty, but this was our first time at an expensive hotel and I did not see what we got for our money. Would not spend all that money for this experience again. The people in the room next to us were so loud all night till 3am, was meant to be sound proof rooms. We were left disappointed.

I had hoped for better, given the name, however the experience was less than average. The 'Check-in', was an exercise in patience, and despite the 'upgrade', the facilities lacked character. 'Dated', and lacking in any aesthetic appeal, is how I would refer to the rooms. Adding to it, extremely poor air-conditioning made for a fitful sleepless night. I'm convinced the AC controls in the room are merely cosmetic and lacked functional value. Brisbane is hot, humid (at times), and to return back to a room that offered little respite and comfort from the heat, wasn't something I looked forward to. Will need to consider alternatives on my next visit......

Stayed 2 nights for a corporate event. Definitely a positive experience overall. Room nice, spacious and tidy. Bed super comfortable. Amenities essentially perfect. Most notably, EVERY individual employee across all areas of your hotel was a combination of extremely friendly, helpful, and relatively efficient. On our first night, all 8 dinners at our table in your ground level restaurant were absolutely delicious! Thank you!! Amazing!! CBB's One tap in my bathroom was dripping though for the entire stay to the point of almost running - unsure why it wasn't reported to be fixed when my room was prepped. Lighting in the corporate breakout areas was horrid. PLEASE be the first hotel in Brisbane and every city in Australia to improve your lighting!! Yellow, tungsten harsh down lighting is already horrible, but heavily green tinged accent lighting dominating the spaces looks disgusting on people's skin, products, activation stands, and by default in any image shot on a camera / phone. Would be nice to have more cold water in the room, and there is definitely potential for more snack options in your minibar.
