The overall experience was amazing, the staff were friendly and wonderful. My only issue is that the kids at the pool could be a bit unruly. I am all about family, but my partner and I ordered champagne bottle service and meals, and we were splashed and kicked on by the kids in the pool, without parental intervention.

We are in love with this hotel. We regretted leaving this beautiful place and going to the Gold Coast. The best service in the hotel. They gave us 4 bottles of water in absolutely beautiful reusable bottles when we checked out. Have you ever seen that?! Usually they give you water when you check in. But these guys are beyond praise, they take care of you even when you leave them. It's awesome. Definitely in Brisbane this is our favorite hotel now 👍❤️

Had an amazing stay at the Calile Hotel! My bestie booked a room for our birthday celebration, and we had such a great time. The staff were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. We even got a complimentary cocktail for our birthday, which was a nice surprise! The whole place is gorgeous, and the experience was just perfect. Definitely want to go back!

Stayed here as a couple for 3 nights in one of their suites in between Christmas and New Year. The architecture looks great, but it did not feel like a 5-star hotel stay. Do not stay here if you're expecting to relax by the hotel pool. Their pool and cabana policy was not enforced. There was a free cabana when we got there, but the staff put a 'reserved' sign on it for other guests who weren't there. Their policy states that cabanas cannot be reserved or pre-booked. Also, the place attracts a lot of young families (maybe because the pool is shallow?), so it is impossible to relax by the pool. Kids were mostly unsupervised and left to splash other guests. I was looking forward to ordering more dishes from Hellenika by the pool, but it was too chaotic in that whole area. I thought it would be quieter at around lunchtime, when all the kids got hungry, but their parents snuck in fruits to eat (even though outside food was not allowed). People left their things on the day beds, even though they left the pool area for a long time (more than 30 minutes). The pool area was poorly managed and steps were not taken to ensure all guests can enjoy it. We tried to get some quiet time in the library, but you can still hear the music from the pool area and the children running around unsupervised. It was also dusty in the library and the record player was in poor condition, so I could not use it. Our suite lacked the attention to detail that most 5-star hotels should have. The jute rug in the living room is an odd choice as it didn't feel luxurious and was rough to walk on with the thin linen slippers the hotel provided. The rug wasn't fully cleaned either, because we could still see leftover confetti from previous guests. The doors in the minibar cabinets did not fully close. The room was dimly lit, which made it hard to see items in the minibar cabinets. The left sink in the bathroom was not draining properly and the seat on the toilet was not fully aligned. These were little things that should not have been missed and needed to be fixed in between guests staying in the suite. The staff were nice, but seemed to lack training in dealing with guests in a 5-star hotel. They offered to book restaurants for us, but when I asked about hatted restaurants nearby, they didn't seem to know what those were. Lastly, the hotel did not feel safe. There should be some lifts dedicated only to hotel guests. Instead, we had to share the lifts a number of times with rowdy people who were going up and down from the restaurant on Level 1. It was a disappointing experience for us overall. I am now wondering how this hotel won an award or why it is rated as a 5-star hotel. I was looking forward to their hotel opening in Noosa, but after what we experienced during our stay in Fortitude Valley, I wouldn't stay in any of their hotels again.
