Reviews for The Inchcolm by Ode Hotels

A Stylish Boutique Gem in the Heart of Brisbane The Inchcolm is the kind of boutique hotel that effortlessly blends old-world charm with contemporary elegance. Tucked away in Spring Hill, just a stone’s throw from Brisbane’s city centre, this historic building has been transformed into a super cool, stylish retreat. The rooms have that perfect balance of old-meets-new, with decor that feels both timeless and modern. The beds are incredibly comfy, the pillows are just right, and the overall vibe is one of effortless sophistication. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location is ideal—close to everything, yet just far enough away to feel a little more exclusive and relaxed. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with character, comfort, and a touch of luxury, The Inchcolm is a standout choice in Brisbane! Highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The staff [particularly Eden & Jericho] are truly exceptional—caring, friendly, and willing to go above and beyond to support us during a difficult time. Their genuine compassion made all the difference, and we couldn’t be more grateful. The hotel itself was spotless, comfortable, and inviting—everything you’d hope for in a stay. A true 10/10 in every way! If only every hotel could be like this. Highly recommend! Thank you so much 💚

I have stayed at the Incholm on many occassions but this will now be my last. I stayed recently for the first time since it was no longer an Ovolo hotel and the standard has definitely slipped. The rooms just now feel in desperate need of attention. The bathrooms need updating and a better clean, and overall the hotel just felt very tired. Little things like the lolly bar and the complimentary drink at the bar were lovely touches that are no longer there. For the price I just don't think the standard is there anymore which is a shame as it is such a lovely building.

I used to love this hotel. They required me to screenshot the prices from online when I arrived to the hotel in Brisbane. On arrival, I had a lady state to me that I needed to screenshot the room type and so on. Even though I wanted a basic room. The price amounted to an additional $206.00 per night for the week I had booked. Drinks are overpriced, food is of no actual decent quality. The rooms are nice though. They will also sting you another $100.00 per night for any pets, not the one fee. It was well and truly better when it was ran by Ovolo.

I had a wonderful stay here. Jericho at the front desk was SO HELPFUL and honestly is the reason for the 5 star review. I had trouble with my credit card booking and he worked tirelessly at 10pm on New Year’s Eve to help me get everything fixed. I’m so grateful for his help and kindness!
