I had a wonderful experience during my two-night stay. The front desk and restaurant staff were super lovely. Service: superb. Room: modern and clean. Location: outstanding. Warm cookie upon arrival was a bonus. Only a couple of drawbacks: 1) no master switch at bedside, and 2) ugly view (my room overlooked the unattractive wall of the adjacent building, blocking any natural light. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect five out of five!

Never stay in this hotel if you think you will be safe. Two times I have stayed here and twice we were not checked in correctly and someone else was checked in after we were. This resulted in someone walking into the room while were were in it and the second time someone trying to enter the room at 1:30am. I do not feel safe staying in this hotel ever again as staff appear to be untrained on the most simplest of tasks like checking someone in. Lucky both times we were in the room but how many time has this happened to us and others when not in the room and no one would ever find out?

Staff are super friendly and seem to be available whenever you need (checked out at 4am and the front desk was staffed). Location is right across the street from Flinders station and you can walk straight to the major shopping district. Lots of good food and coffee around too. Only negative comment is that they don’t have onsite parking but rather direct guests to park vehicles at the Wilson parking down the street. Would advise anyone staying to remove all expensive belongings from the car as there had been some cars which had been broken into while I was there. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

This was our first stay and found the staff and service friendly and professional. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well fitted, AC really good and curtains make for a good sleep. The location is very good being close to transport and shopping Good security Definitely our new favourite place to stay

I had very different expectations; I didn't think the DoubleTree by Hilton in Melbourne, Australia, would be so ordinary and even disappointing. The King Sky River room had very dirty windows with many stains. The room was very plain, with old and dirty walls, and the furnishings were simple, comparable to a 3-star hotel. The breakfast was very poor, low quality, and lacked variety. I previously stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Beijing, China, which was excellent and is not at all comparable to this one. The only positive aspect of this hotel was the friendly staff and good location.
