Reviews for Melbourne Cricket Ground

It was a privilege to attend the first two days of the most attended Test match ever (Australia vs. India - December 2024). The atmosphere, with 87,000 and 84,000 people respectively on the first two days, was absolutely stunning. The stadium itself offers excellent facilities for spectators. Outstanding view of the game from almost any area, because it such a huge arena. Public transport options (train and tram) are incredibly efficient—it’s amazing how 90000 people can leave the venue so quickly, without any hassle. The free water-filling stations for bottles are a fantastic feature, and the variety of food options, including hot meals, never ran out, which is impressive. It was even more impressive that there were so many counters and fast moving lines! We were fortunate to have covered seats on both days, which added to the comfort. The crowds are passionate, so it’s good to come prepared with some tolerance for the lively atmosphere. Overall, this is an iconic venue, and it was truly a privilege to experience it.

Wholesome live cricket experience ♥️ It was a thrilling experience to watch live cricket with family! Vibe was so cheerful and vibrant.. Food outside the stadium in food truck was quite expensive and not much variety to choose from. However, they have plenty of food options within the stadium with much better quality and pricing.

The MCG is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world. The facilities are top-notch, ensuring a comfortable experience for all visitors. While the food inside can be a bit pricey, bringing your own snacks, like chips, is a great idea. The atmosphere is electric, and the way they entertain the crowd is simply amazing.

Was here to watch the Australia-India Boxing Day test match. Nice facility, one of the largest-seat cricket stadiums. The event was packed. We took the train and walked over to the entrance, which made it hassle-free. Our stands were covered even when there was a rain interruption.

Brilliant location to watch sport. Easy to access walking or with public transport. Quick and easy access through gates. We took our own food and water for Boxing Day test. Food and drinks reasonably priced compared to other stadiums.
