Hotel
•Mantra Legends Hotel isn't just a place for surf-lovers to go to play and relax; it's also a great spot for those hunting for a wedding paradise. Or it could be both at the same time, because why not? The Mantra Legends Hotel can accommodate a variety of weddings, with a number of function spaces to choose from. The pillar-less ballroom to the Garden Terrace, the Undercover Terrace to the private dining room - the Mantra Legends Hotel lends a range of functions the air of something special. The Mantra Legends Hotel also can accommodate business conferences, with meeting rooms and a large boardroom available for use, as well as more casual spots like the garden for networking events.

This hotel experience has been my most disappointing by far. During my hotel search, I was looking specifically for a room with a full ocean view and a balcony to share with my partner for a special occasion which is why I booked the room pictured on website. Instead, we received a partial ocean view and no balcony. (Our “full ocean view” room faced southwest, not east. You can only see the ocean if you stand in the bay window.) When I went downstairs to talk to reception, they checked with management but they were sold out so I was told “there is nothing they can do” and it’s only “based on availability”. When I looked back at my reservation, I had the full ocean view in text but the balcony was only shown in photos which is very misleading as there is nothing that said “based on availability”. The room was NOTHING like the photos. Mantra posted the ultimate bait and switch. As this was a non-refundable room, we were forced to stay, however, if we had a choice, we would have left. On top of all of that, the room was in poor shape. Fixtures were falling off the walls, hair dryers were falling apart, stains on the carpet, partial drywall repair without paint and the air con never got cold. As someone who books corporate room blocks for a living, I will be avoiding booking any Mantra property in the future. There are lots of hotels for the same price in the area for a MUCH better experience. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. And to Management, it’s clear by your comments that you do not read or care about the negative reviews so please do not bother.
Had a wonderful time staying at Mantra Legends. The staff at reception were friendly and very helpful, we were so grateful for being able to check in early on the first day. The location is absolutely perfect and an added bonus having the tram station so close. A highlight of our stay was being able to watch the whales from our balcony, it was amazing!!! We were surprised by the daily servicing of the room, which was perfectly suited to our needs. But the best part of our stay without a doubt was the Buffet Breakfast!!! A great variety of beautiful foods, both hot and cold, much thanks to Hania and all of the efficient, hard working staff in the restaurant for helping us to have the best possible start to every day. We will definitely be back, we were very happy staying here.
Great location close to the beach and returants, light rail and cavill ave. Rooms were well appointed and beds were comfortable. Check in and out was easy and friendly. Would definately stay here again.
Great hotel – great spot, had everything you need and good facilities. Will stay again Pros: - Great location, 1 street away from Caville avenue, 100m from a tram stop and 100m from the beach. - Great rooms – comfortable beds, clean with a kitchenette (stove top, fridge, I think a microwave too), aircon, ironing board, balcony with chairs - Gym is reasonably well equipped with cardio machines, spin bike, weights, matt, good aircon. Only issue is the peleton bike was old and didn’t turn on. - Buffet breakfast was great – hot food (bacon, sausages, pancakes, scrambled eggs), cereal, baked goods (croissants), basic juices, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, button coffee machine - Reasonably priced, especially for during schoolies week (I wasn't a schoolie and everything was expensive and booked out) - Lovely pool area, pretty shallow and busy, with hot spa bath Issues - Peleton bike wouldn’t turn on - No extra bedding: just sheets and I was cold - Pool was a bit dirty - Few sun chairs around pool
the place was good, pool was nice however many of the essentials was lacking such as thre was no salt and pepper, we stayed for 10 days and one towel per person, no dishwashing pods or spray and wipe etc so on that end it was lacking. We also noticed a decent amount of sand in the bed before we had even got in which made us wonder if tht cleaned the sheets. As for service the bar was the best service out of the whole place but the front lobby staff however were not very accommodating and we found any regular services of a hotel were extra or they didn’t have. Probably wouldn’t stay here again but the rest of our holiday was great
