The perfect weekend getaway for me and my partner. Great location, within walking distance to the heart of the city. Hotel staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Check In was seamless, with a very inviting lobby as you first arrive. Great Irish bar on the ground floor with a good atmosphere and great selection of drinks. The rooms are well kept and spacious. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and pleased to say we'll be back again for sure.
I booked for 5 nights as a single occupant with breakfast included. My son joined me on my trip and the Front desk said that breakfast for two was included when I checked in. My son and I had breakfast on 4 mornings, nothing was said or nothing was signed by me for breakfast. I go on the eve of checkout and ask if I could check out the following morning, I was told that they charged me for 2 days' breakfast. I could not fathom why they would charge for 2 days instead of 4 without telling me or getting anything signed. Then the Front desk made it appear as if they were doing me a favour by waiving the charge and I could have only one breakfast on Day 5. In addition to that, a) the Reception or Housekeeping never answered calls which means you have to go down to the Reception and request anything you want b) the Hotel does not provide water bottles in the room. One has go down to the Ground floor and fill up your water bottle. They had this 'out of order' sign for 4 days out of the 5 we spent there (photo attached). c) No dental kit was provided in the room and I had to go down to Reception to request one. Overall a very forgettable experience. I would have awarded zero stars if there was an option...STAY AWAY.
Nice place, rooms clean and tidy. Booked for 3 people but only gave us one queen bed. Sorted this out easily though. Not really kid friendly, no pool and nothing for them to do.
The location is the only good thing about this place. Was meant to have free cancellation and we should have cancelled before we checked in because the service was terrible. I was told at the counter while I was checking in I was unable to purchase a breakfast voucher because they were to busy, but they weren’t to busy to take my payment for the room. Then we got to our room, we had no porta cot for our baby like requested and our sheets had a massive brown stain in the middle of the bed. Safe to say we didn’t stay, booked in down the road for the same price and heaps better service. Was absolutely disgusting, no refund no apology, just poor poor service.
Stay marred by one of the poorer check in experiences I’ve had. Very impatient staff member - whom I later learnt was the assistant manager! Check out was fine. On-site car parking system not linked to the hotel (have to scan a QR code, pay separately, different invoice). Few glitches where the gate refused to open. Welcome amenity for Accor Platinum - a bottle of water.
