Very nice hotel. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. I got a discounted rate so can't comment on the normal rates. Very clean and modern room with everything I needed except the complimentary tea and coffee that's in every other hotel. I'm sure they would've provided some if I asked, but I didn't bother. The king bed was so big I could hardly see the other side. And the room was plenty big enough to fit it. As you'd expect from a classy hotel, there was also good information in the room about the local area, if you were a tourist. I didn't try the room service nor have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. I got a corner room with a balcony as an upgrade, which was a great bonus. There wasn't much of a view from the balcony, but it was very spacious, with a table and chairs. It would've been a great way to get some air if my stay was longer. Very convenient location in central Sydney. Near everything you could need. I'd love to stay here again.

Overall it was good but there's a few things to note. I couldn't find the staircase and it felt silly holding people up on the lift to go level 2 to level 3. The pool had mixed distances online some places saying 10m others 15m. After swimming for a while the lights turned off during a lap and it was very dark (seems dangerous). Room thermostat doesn't work as I think it's centrally controlled. Treadmills need a service they are loud and not smooth. Otherwise it's a great hotel, nice location and spacious room. Someone else mentioned slow WiFi but it was fast for me 4k YouTube no issues.

Had an amazing 2 stays here. Naomi at the front desk was incredibly helpful, and friendly, she really amplified the already great service. Loved the fish floor at reception, the heated pool and spa! The beds were so comfortable, windows blocked out any outside noise and black out curtains meant a good rest every night. Thank you products were great quality. Will definitely be back, location is excellent too.

Stayed here a couple of nights while on vacation with my family. Money was well spent. Arrived and rooms were absolutely impeccable. House keeping staff went above and beyond and attended to our requests. Kids enjoyed their stay here and made use of the pool. Very convenient that there is a gym here as well. Food was amazing at the restaurant. Could not find any faults. Would definitely be staying here on our next trip to Sydney.

I had booked and paid for a nights accomodation here but unfortunately fell ill and was unable to cancel. I received no prior notification from Rydges but was quickly told when the day had passed that I will be losing my money. I appreciate that there are conditions with every booking but I explained how ill I had been and hoped that Rydges would honor another nights accomodation for a consistent and loyal customer. This wasn't the case at all. I have never written a negative review before but I think its really poor form that this hotel doesn't find a way to provide some level of compensation in this case. Even a credit for another stay would suffice. I could have elected to pay on arrival but I didn't, they had my $230 for months prior earning interest but were too tight to provide a refund under legitimate circumstances. Not good enough.
