We enjoyed a superb stay here. A beautiful historic hotel with so much character throughout. We were welcomed on our arrival by exceptionally friendly and professional staff on reception and by the concierge. Parking was easy. Our room was so comfortable, the bed and pillows luxurious, and we had stunning views over the pool and river. Its within easy walking distance of the city centre for shopping. We loved it here and can highly recommend it if you want a beautiful authentic hotel.

Firstly the parking situation…. Absolutely appalling.. if you are providing this service “complimentary- please note that customers have to pay” your customers shouldn’t have to be parking off site. Secondly the lack of enthusiasm from staff was a shock. You work in an industry that is customer service based… be better. Thirdly the breakfast also appalling- I don’t have the words to describe my disappointment. Personally this is really disappointing. I have been coming to this hotel since I was a little girl. And it’s usually my go to for a staycation. And this has been a stay I would have been better off staying at home.

Stunning view from our room and incredible location. Walking distance to Eagle St Pier, Howard Smith wharves and the Botanical Gardens. The hotel has an old wordly decor which I usually love, although the hotel is starting to feel aged and needs some updating. Our room was clean and had a lovely bath. The service was good. I think the AC was broken as we couldn't turn it off and it was very cold. Parking at the hotel is $50 per day.

We have stayed here ffor most of our anniversaries over our 29 years. The grandure and 1st class feel of this hotel is really second to none that we have stayed in. We love the river outlook from all of the rooms and especially the Story bridge lighting at night. Since covid and a flood, I feel the service has slipped some and the staff knowledge has dropped somewhat which is evident from over billing and the inability to amend without mangers assistance. Not a nice feel for returning customers. Overall it is still a lovely place to indulge, close to everything and we can't help but return.

I love this hotel and its concept. The room is spacious, and I had a beautiful view from my room. It was a wonderful experience, even though the seagulls were a bit bothersome during breakfast. Overall, it was still worth it, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
