Beautiful classic style hotel but a few of the furnishings and touches are a bit tired and old. No robes in the room which was a bummer. Deluxe room was a little small but had great views of the river. The bathroom was super spacious. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great location and beautiful lobby area.

First time here. The room boasted old-world charm and a fabulous view across the Brisbane River. A step away from the Botanical Gardens and only a short walk into the city centre. The staff were lovely and obliging. Big shout out to all the staff on reception. We'll be back, for sure! Thank you for a lovely experience.

We enjoyed a superb stay here. A beautiful historic hotel with so much character throughout. We were welcomed on our arrival by exceptionally friendly and professional staff on reception and by the concierge. Parking was easy. Our room was so comfortable, the bed and pillows luxurious, and we had stunning views over the pool and river. Its within easy walking distance of the city centre for shopping. We loved it here and can highly recommend it if you want a beautiful authentic hotel.

Pros: The room was spacious and offered stunning easterly views of the Brisbane River, the Story Bridge, and the new Kangaroo Point pedestrian bridge. Breakfast was an excellent value, costing only an additional $1 per person. Cons: The exterior of the window was very dirty, which diminished the otherwise fantastic views. Additionally, the parking fee was exorbitant at $49 per night.

It was a lovely place to spend New Years Eve. We couldn't see the fireworks from our room, but we could see some from the hallway. We had room service, and we had a private dinner with a view. Iit was very expensive, but the decor was lovely, the bed very comfortable and the food was delicious. The river view from our room was lovely.
