Stayed recently with my partner for a quick mid week get away. Room and amenities are very nice and breakfast buffet outstanding. However there was so much renovations going on that it made it impossible to sleep in after 7am. The drilling from level 3 reverberated through our level 2 room, and then the carpets were being replaced on our level which added even more noise. I appreciate that maintenance is needed however it would have been nice if you had told us off that prior to booking or when we booked in.
Lovely big clean room. The bathroom and shower are spacious with decent shower pressure. The bed has 2 mattresses pushed together to make one big bed so it did sink in the middle making it a bit uncomfortable. Housekeeping showed up at 0815 which is way too early. She worked around me and it was fine but if staying longer would have mentioned it. Unfortunately there were night works happening outside the front of the hotel which was very noisy. Otherwise good location and room service was available. The sticky pork belly bites were divine.
Location was perfect (minutes to Central) and we had parking included and allowed us to leave it there until 1pm on day of checkout. Front desk service was great as well. Room (King superior) was alright. The sofa bed was the worst I’ve ever slept on. Room didn’t have double glazing so sounded like trucks and cars were outside our window - on the 3rd floor… The heated pool and spa was a big hit with the little ones. Might stay again but probably not.
I LOVE this hotel! My top 3 favourite things about this place is 1. the staff, they are the most friendly group of people! 2. The beds!!! The room we had had the comfiest beds! 3. The buffet breakfast! So many different options as far as waffles, to dumplings! This isn’t even to mention the location, the easy parking, flexible hours and the size of the rooms. One of my favourite hotels.
friendly customer service and handy location - unfortunately the rooms, although updated are tired and suffer from years of built up grubbiness. Air conditioning broken and noisy on the Albion St side - staff were kindly accommodating when requesting a room change. Comfortable bed although they’re just single beds smushed together to make a king. I probably wouldn’t book again but in fairness the location was very handy for what a needed so there was the trade-off.
