I hosted a seminar in the Brickfield Room at Rydges Hotel World Square on Saturday, 8 November 2025, and the service we received was exceptional. A special thank you to Herman, who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. He pre-arranged and tested all the equipment—including the speakers, projector, and other facilities—before my arrival. When I walked in, everything was set up perfectly and working flawlessly. He even provided a remote controller with a red-spot laser function, which made delivering my 3-hour presentation so much easier and more professional. Throughout the entire 4+ hours, Herman checked in regularly to see if we needed any assistance and managed the timing of our dinner service perfectly, bringing out the dishes right as all guests were seated. I would also like to sincerely thank Natasha and Zel for their proactive planning and excellent coordination. They gathered our requirements early and arranged everything beautifully, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Rydges Hotel World Square for business conferences, seminars, and corporate events. The team’s professionalism, attention to detail, and warm hospitality truly made our event a success.
Stayed there for 4 nights from 28th Sept to 2nd October. It was such a pleasant experience staying at the Rydges World square Sydney. The staff and concierge team were all very helpful in taking care of my belongings and friendly as well. Location is in the CBD which is awesome. The mall is just down the hotel and I could find foods or go shopping easily.
Location, hard to beat, rooms easy to beat. I'm not sure what this hotel does to somehow get four stars but the pillows kinda suck. The beds are average, the bathrooms are kinda dirty and old. For 238 bucks a night I guess it was a decent deal for the location, but for 238 bucks I expected to not have mold stains on the bathroom tile.
I got really upset about the service. I was using a room with computers and printers when a staff member came over and told me they needed to verify my ID and check if I was a customer. This happened right in the middle of my meeting. I asked him to wait until my meeting finished, but he refused. He said I had to go and verify immediately or leave the room. Because of this, my meeting was interrupted and I lost important information. If verification was required, they should have clearly informed all customers before letting us use the room. There was no key card requirement, and the space felt more like an open area. The way he treated me made me feel like I was being suspected of theft.
A terrific place to stay, close to both the Light Rail services and the Museum Train station, both within 3 hundred metres walk. In addition to the Hotels location there are a multitude of restaurants, bars, coffee shops so it's definitely a case of location location. Complementing the above, staff I found to be professional, efficient and friendly. Give it a go you'll not be disappointed.
